A 360 foot long building, facing a large open park and recreation field was tailored to respond to extensive community and Planning Board input. Plan and roof terrace setbacks, material and plane changes, and underground parking were the armature upon which a carefully modulated scale of parts was designed. A range of greens and grays color parts of the building, accented with natural cedar trellises, all relating to the green of the landscaping on site and in the park across the street. A large terrace with BBQ area fronting the Common room and lobby creates a space that is visually shared with the public realm, adding a building scaled “front stoop” to the development.
