This building will complete a series of related buildings which define a new urban node at the corner of 40th and Chestnut Streets. The space between this building and its cousin at 3945 Chestnut suggests an intimate, winding medieval passage with angling walls and a variety of materials punctuated by narrow tower forms. Glass-walled cafes, salons, health clubs, office spaces and public lobbies will ensure a welcoming pattern of round-the-clock activity.
